Constructed between 1928 and 1930, the structure has 24 floors and a height of 371 feet. Because it served as Western Union's headquarters and housed telegraph equipment, it was originally known as the Western Union Building. It was clearly marked for usage as a data center later on, just like other old telegraph hubs.
